Board Certified in Anti-Aging Medicine
In 1996, Dr. Trew became interested in a new
specialty called Anti-Aging Medicine. It uses the best of both
traditional medicine and a scientifically proven new approach to prevent the
symptoms of aging and to improve the vitality and quality of life while extending
the life and health span of patients.
In 1998 Dr. Trew was among the first 65 physicians in the world to pass
both the written and oral exams given by the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. As a
result, Dr. Trew became one of the first physicians in the world, and the first in
the state of Oregon, to be Board Certified in Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr. Trew received her medical degree from the University of Calgary in
Alberta, Canada. She practiced family practice medicine for over 20 years in
southern Oregon (she is board certified in family practice by the American Board of
Certification in Family Practice) before founding and opening the Trew Longevity Center,
in Medford, Oregon. She changed the name to Trew Wellness Center in June 2004, to
better reflect the true mission of the Center, where she specializes in
Anti-Aging/Functional Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of
Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), a diplomate of the American College for the Advancement in
Medicine in Chelation Therapy, and a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine.
